We have the technology to predict disasters, yet they still catch us by surprise.

We know how to arrange funds in advance, yet first-responders can wait for weeks or even months before resources arrive. In an emergency, time is not just money, it’s people’s lives.

The Crisis Lookout Coalition is a group committed to the creation of a smarter system for funding disasters that protects more people caught up in crisis, especially in the poorest countries.

We’re calling for a new approach to disasters that predicts the greatest risks, puts plans in place and makes sure communities have the funds they need when it matters most.

We can’t eliminate all threats to lives and livelihoods – but we can help stop disasters from destroying lives.
